Answer the following questions:
a) Who are the three people named in the story?
A: George, Julian and Mrs Philpot.

b) What sort of  day is it? Which word tells us this?
A:Its sunny, we can see this by the quote: "I never thought i'd like hot sones on a summer's day."

c) Who do you think got the food ready? Why?
A:Mrs philpot because... I don't think the kids would be cooking and Julian said: "You musn't spoil us, Mrs philpot."

d) In your own words, describe the man sitting in the chair.
A: Old, with a snowy white beard and hair. Penetrating eyes.

e) What did the man think the children had said?
A: He thought the kids were complaining about too much work

f) What did Julian actually said?
A: "Please don't spoil us, Mrs Philpot" "Please don't let us do too much work for you

g) How is the man speaking?
A: Apparently he is screaming due to all the caps.

h) What does the man mean by "grumble"?
A: "quejarse",  a muttered complaint.

i) How did the children's feelings change as they walked into the kitchen?
